Mr. Hugh Downs

The Guinness Book of World Records reports that Emmy Award winner Hugh Downs, who is among the most familiar figures in television, has logged more hours than any other person in U.S. Television history through 2004.  Mr. Downs' professional manner in the roles of announcer, host, and anchor is unrivaled. He served as NBC's host for The Today Show for nine years, as well as being co-anchor of ABC's 20/20 along side of Barbara Walters for twenty-one years, and as host of Live From Lincoln Center for PBS.
