The National Business Series Presents:

The Aviation and Aerospace Series

with

Mr. Barrington Irving

Aerospace is not the same as airspace, which is a term used to describe the physical air space directly above a location on the ground.  In most industrial countries, the aerospace industry is a cooperation of public and private industries.  Aeronautics is the science involved with the study, design, and manufacture of flight-capable machines, or the techniques of operating aircraft. While the term—literally meaning "sailing the air"—originally referred solely to the science of operating the aircraft, it has since been expanded to include technology, business and other aspects related to aircraft.  Aviation encompasses all the activities relating to airborne devices created by human ingenuity, generally known as aircraft. These activities include the organizations and regulatory bodies as well as the personnel related with the operation of aircraft and the industries involved in airplane manufacture, development, and design.

In this new series on "Aviation and Aerospace", we will cover the following topics:

The History of Flying
Reconstruction of Vintage Aircraft
Building for the Future
Academics and Aviation
Security (Physical and Financial)
